This Monday, May 20, at 5:30 is the ribbon cutting for Sky’s The Limit Thrift Shop at 73656 Homestead Drive, one block west of Adobe Road, at the north end of the Historic Plaza in Twentynine Palms. The shop will feature gently used, high quality items – including furniture, household goods, small appliances, children’s toys, clothing, shoes, and books. The shop will be open for business on Friday, May 31. Regular hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Donations may be brought to the shop during regular business hours. Sales will be cash and carry only; no credit cards can be accepted. The Thrift Shop will be staffed entirely by volunteers, with the profits going to support the campus development and educational programs of Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center. Volunteers are always welcome; phone Candy Jones at 760-367-4505 for information or to leave messages.
