Six students from Yucca Valley High School will play in the ninth annual High Desert All-Star football game at Antelope Valley College in January. Coach Andrew Amosa said 200 seniors from 40 schools will be participating in this game that pits local all-stars against all-star players from Palmer and Lancaster. Players from Yucca Valley High School include wide receivers Sean Wallace, Tommy Geiger, and Zach Didonato; defensive lineman Ilan Kakalia; linebacker Judiah West; and defensive end Trystan Gunkel. The game will be held January 23.
