CalTrans has started work on Highway 247/Old Woman Springs Road. For at least the next six months, workers will be widening the shoulders and installing rumble strips from El Cortez Road in Yucca Valley to just north of Napa Road in Landers. Construction hours are between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Work may be suspended during winter months due to cold weather, but the project is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2015. Drivers should anticipate delays during construction.
