An artists’ residency program is about to start in Joshua Tree. Managing Editor Tami Roleff says you’ll be able to view its results later this summer…
Six artists have been accepted for the seventh annual Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency. JTHAR, adjacent to Joshua Tree National Park, is a six-week residency program that provides work/living space for emerging and mid-career artists to explore their creative projects. The public is invited to the artists’ exhibition at the conclusion of their residency, at the JTAG gallery, in Joshua Tree. The opening reception is Friday, August 23 at 6 p.m., and the show closes August 25. The six artists are sculptors Lilah Fowler, Beka Goedde, Minjung Lee; painter Yongjae Kim; photographer Chris Shaw; and mixed media artist Vera Ximenes.
