SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH CAUSES POWER OUTAGE IN TWENTYNINE PALMS SUNDAY MORNING

A single vehicle crash in Twentynine Palms Sunday morning knocked out power in the area for several hours. About 5:45 a.m., a Dodge minivan, traveling northbound on Adobe Road, hit a power pole near Smith’s Ranch Road. Live electrical wires fell in the roadway and Southern California Edison was called. A male patient was transported by Morongo Basin Ambulance to the Naval Hospital on board the Marine Corps base. Adobe Road was closed for several hours and the Smith’s Ranch Drive-In was closed due to no power.
