SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH BACKS UP TRAFFIC ON MORONGO GRADE

A single vehicle traffic crash on the Morongo Grade backed up traffic for about 30 minutes Tuesday afternoon. Morongo Valley Fire Chief Jock Johnson said about 4:20 p.m., a vehicle going up the grade crashed into the concrete center divider at the county line, and then careened into the metal guard rail. The driver escaped serious injuries.
