Theatre 29 is holding a musical revue as a fundraiser for its building expansion fund. Director Lisa Goldberg will hold auditions for “Mis-Cast” on June 11. With audition details here’s Rebecca Havely…
“Mis-Cast,” a one-night-only musical revue, will feature actors and singers performing roles they would otherwise never have the chance to play. Whether the role is not quite right for you because of your age, gender or some other consideration, this is your chance to sing that role you’ve always wanted. Be encouraged to use your imagination and sense of humor when selecting your song. Auditions are at Theatre 29 at 6 p.m. Monday, June 11. Bring a non-vocal accompaniment track on a mobile device of a Broadway show tune; speakers will be provided. You’re encouraged to audition with the song you wish to perform in the revue. Rehearsals will be held weeknights beginning June 12. The one-night-only performance is set for Saturday, June 23.
The “Mis-Cast” gala fundraiser tickets include dinner and the show. The $25 tickets are available online at theatre29.org or by calling the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151.
