SINGERS SOUGHT FOR FUND-RAISER CABARET AT THEATRE 29

Last summer at Theatre 29, the cabaret “Mis-Cast” helped raised funds for the theatre’s building expansion fund. This summer, it’s back with “Mis-Cast: Part Deux” and auditions have been set. Rebecca Havely has the audition details…

Director Lisa Goldberg and musical director Scott Clinkscales will cast singers at Theatre 29 for a musical revue fundraiser. The cabaret style performance showcases singers performing roles they would never be cast in due to age, gender or for any other reason. So choose a “mis-cast” song you’d like them to consider or just choose an audition song that shows off your range. Bring a non-vocal backing track on a mobile device. Auditions are Monday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at Theatre 29. The show will be performed twice. Saturday, June 22, will be a gala event with dinner, auctions and drawings, plus a matinee show on Sunday, June 23.  All proceeds will go towards Theatre 29’s building expansion fund.
