Gallery 62 in downtown Joshua Tree is holding its third annual youth art show through May 19. The show features artists from kindergarten through eighth grade from throughout the Morongo Basin. An opening reception is set for Saturday, May 11, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. A silent auction of art from local artists will be held during the reception, with the proceeds going to fund two college scholarships for graduating seniors. In addition, the students’ art is also for sale. The gallery is open Fridays and Sundays from noon to 3, and Saturdays 9 to 3. Gallery 62 is located on the highway in downtown Joshua Tree.
