It’s time for the annual Grubstake Days Tug O’ War, so it’s time for you to assemble your squad, because the Grubstake Days organizers are looking for teams to participate. You must be 18 years old to compete, and there is a 1,500 pound weight limit per team. The entry fee is $15 per person with a cash price of $300 to the first place team, and $200 to the second-place team. The event will be held on the Carnival Grounds at the corner of Highway 62 and Hilton. The deadline for sign-ups is May 15. For more information call Carl at 760-401-6552 or Tracy at 760-368-8990.
The event will be held Saturday, May 25. Weigh-ins begin at 11:30 a.m. and the tug starts at noon. The finals will be on May 26.
