Registration opens Saturday, June 10, for the Joshua Tree Library’s summer reading program. The theme this year is “Gear Up and Read,” with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Registration is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There’ll be free popcorn, and those who register will receive a free book bag and other freebies. The Joshua Tree Library is located on Park Boulevard, north of the highway.
