Meteorologists from the National Weather Service’s Las Vegas forecast office will hold a two-hour Severe Weather Spotter Training class on Tuesday, May 21, at 6 p.m. in the Cholla room of the Yucca Valley Community Center. The class is free and open to all residents interested in weather, thunderstorms, or public safety. Learn to identify important thunderstorm characteristics, types of severe weather, weather safety, and reporting procedures. All course materials are provided.
