The Joshua Basin Water District will hold a two-evening course on desert edible gardening on February 23 and 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. Topics covered will include winning the war against desert environmental challenges; best choices for your garden; pros and cons of container gardens, raised gardens, and hoop houses; amending the desert soil; best solutions for infestations; and water conservation for gardeners.
