A day trip from Yucca Valley to Simi Valley has been planned. Managing Editor Tami Roleff has registration information… Registration is now open for a day trip to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley. The deluxe motor coach will leave the Yucca Valley Community Center at 7:30 a.m. on August 6, and return about 6 p.m. The self-guided tour includes a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, and piece of the Berlin Wall, gifts to the Reagans, and the opportunity to go inside a retired Air Force One airplane. On temporary display is the art exhibit “Vatican Splendors: A Journey through Faith and Art,” featuring a collection of historical and religious objects. Lunch is on your own at the museum café. Tickets are $85 per person and includes admission of the library, the Vatican exhibit, and transportation. The deadline to register is July 26.
