SIGN UP FOR THE TWENTYNINE PALMS ROTARY HOLIDAY LIGHT PARADE

The Twentynine Palms Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, and Soroptimist International will partner with the City of Twentynine Palms in kicking off the holiday season on Tuesday, December 4, with the Twentynine Palms light parade and city tree lighting set for 5:30 p.m. and free to all ages. The parade will begin on Joshua Lane, off Adobe Road, pass City Hall and then turn left on to Sun Valley Drive. Some entries will be on display in the lot west of Veteran’s Park at City Hall after the parade. The Twentynine Palms Service Clubs will then prepare to illuminate the official city Christmas tree. Mayor McArthur Wright will welcome attendees, area churches will provide music, and the service clubs will serve hot cocoa and holiday goodies. The tree will be lit at 6:25 p.m. Right after the tree lighting, Santa Claus will fly straight from the North Pole and touch down via helicopter on Adobe Road right in front of City Hall. Santa will stay for photos while reviewing his Good-Bad List before lifting off and heading due north at 7:30 p.m. Light parade applications are available now at the Park and Recreation office at Luckie Park or by calling Z107.7 at 760-366-8471. Applicants are asked to bring a donation to the Twentynine Palms Food Pantry.
