The Grubstake Days run is open to experienced and novice athletes of all ages and fitness levels. While the 10K and 5K runs are timed competitions, the 2K walk is a non-competitive event. Both races and the walk will take place Sunday, May 27 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Yucca Valley High School football stadium, 7600 Sage Avenue. Early birds who register on or before May 17 will pay $20 per person, get express check-in at the race, a souvenir race T-shirt and gift, and are automatically entered into a door prize drawing. Regular registration will begin May 18th at $25 per person with on-site registration also being accepted on race day from 7 to 7:45 a.m.
Awards will be presented to overall male and female winners in the 10K and 5K run, as well as to top finishers in each age division. Participation certificates will be presented to those who complete the non-competitive 2K walk. For more information, contact Sue Earnest at 760-369-7211, ext. 244.
