SHOTS FIRED LEADS TO AN ARREST IN LANDERS

A report of shots fired led to the arrest of a Landers man Monday. According to a Sheriff’s report, a neighbor called about 7:40 a.m. to report she heard shots being fired in the 55400 block of Del Sol Lane in Landers. Deputies contacted Jesse Miller, 28, who was uncooperative.

Deputies learned during a record check that Miller had $155,000 in felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants for spousal abuse, battery, and contempt of court, and had a restraining order filed against him which prohibited him from possessing firearms. Deputies found a pump-action shotgun and four rifles. Miller fought with deputies when they tried to arrest him, but he was eventually subdued. Jesse Miller was arrested for investigation of resisting arrest, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
