ARREST MADE IN WALMART AT GUNPOINT
A Yucca Valley couple was arrested at Walmart Thursday afternoon after a man was seen trying to steal a cell phone. According to a Sheriff’s report, Wal-Mart employees observed Blair Foster, 35, using a knife to cut a cell phone from its packaging and alerted Sheriff’s deputies who were in the store on another shoplifting call. Walmart employees told the deputy that Foster has committed eight other burglaries at the store since September 2013, and has been banned from Walmart. Foster was arrested at gunpoint and the knife and phone were recovered. Foster’s vehicle was located in the parking lot, and during a search of the vehicle, deputies located methamphetamine, drugs, and drug paraphernalia. Foster’s wife, Kaitlyn Murphy, 25, was also in the vehicle, and deputies determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance. Blair Foster was arrested for investigation of possession of methamphetamine for sale, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000. Kaitlyn Murphy was cited at the Morongo Basin Jail and released.
DRUG USE COMPLAINT IN YUCCA VALLEY LEADS TO ROBBERY ARRESTS
Three people were arrested on various charges following a complaint of drug use in front of a home in Yucca Valley Thursday. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman called to report that two people, later identified as Anthony Sacco, 26, and Kaylene DeForest, 37, were sitting in a car in front of her house in the 56500 block of Mountain View Trail in Yucca Valley doing drugs. Anthony Sacco was arrested on suspicion of three misdemeanor drug charges, and Kaylene DeForest was arrested on suspicion on being in possession of a controlled substance. They were both cited and released. The deputy found several items that Sacco and DeForest said had been stolen from them. Bruce Johnson was arrested on suspicion of robbery, battery, making terrorist threats, possession of stolen property, and extortion. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center with his total bail set at $200,000.
