The Morongo Basin Sheriff’s station recognized two of its volunteers at an event Wednesday night. Diana Brenneman received the 2018 Volunteer of the Year award. Brenneman joined the Citizens on Patrol in 2015 and has volunteered hundreds of hours since then.  She holds the positions of the unit’s secretary, performing numerous duties to help our communities.
Brenneman made numerous call out for needed traffic control and closures during the recent storms.
Also recognized was CJ Glover, who joined the search and rescue team 40 years ago—in 1979. He has donated thousands of hundred in training, search operations, and equipment details for the unit. Glover’s experience and knowledge are valuable for not only the Basin but the Sheriff’s Department as well. Glover continues to dedicate his time and skills to the search and rescue team.

For more information on becoming a volunteer, call the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station at 760-366-4175.
