YUCCA VALLEY MAN MISSING FROM ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY HAS BEEN FOUND

9:57 AM UPDATE: A Yucca Valley man who went missing from an assisted living facility Sunday night (August 29) has been found. According to an update from the Sheriff’s department, Leland Hunter, 76, was found around 8:30 Monday morning (August 30). Hunter, who suffers from Dementia and other health issues, was discovered missing from the Santa Fe Assisted Living Facility in Yucca Valley on Sunday, August 29, after leaving the facility on foot around 5 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a Yucca Valley man who went missing from an assisted living facility. According to Sheriff’s reports, Leland Hunter, 76, was discovered missing from the Santa Fe Assisted Living Facility in Yucca Valley on Sunday, August 29. He was last seen around 5 p.m. Hunter left the location on foot and it is not known where he was going. Hunter suffers from Dementia and other health issues and is new to both the facility and the area. He is described as a white male, 5’10”, 180 pounds, with gray hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black pajama pants, and white tennis shoes. Anyone with information regarding Hunter’s whereabouts is urged to contact Deputy R.
