SHERIFF’S LOOKING FOR DRIVER FROM TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SPEED CHASE

The Sheriff’s Department is searching for the driver of an older model Dodge Durango after a high-speed chase in Twentynine Palms early Sunday morning. Just after midnight, a deputy saw the vehicle run a red light at Adobe Road and Smith’s Ranch Road. When the deputy attempted to stop the driver, the SUV sped off. The deputy clocked the driver at speeds over 100 miles per hour on eastbound Amboy Road, but lost the driver on dirt roads in the area. Despite searching for several hours, the driver and vehicle were not located. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s department at 760-366-4175.
