Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a woman after the children she was babysitting became ill from illegal drugs. According to a Sheriff’s report, firefighters were called to a home in the 7300 block of Cibola Trail in Yucca Valley about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday to help two toddlers, a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old, who were having trouble breathing. When paramedics learned that the children’s babysitter, Jinjer Carter, 32, of La Brea, had consumed and smoked drugs containing THC, and that the children exhibited symptoms of being under the influence of marijuana, they called Sheriff’s deputies to investigate. Jinjer Carter fled the home prior to the arrival of deputies. The children were taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center for treatment. During a search of the home, deputies found multiple products containing THC in areas that were easily accessible to the children. Anyone with information concerning Carter’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s department at 760-366-4175.
