SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES KEPT VERY BUSY MONDAY

From a shot-out window to stolen ceramic yard art, Sheriff’s deputies were busy Monday. In Twentynine Palms, about 7 a.m., a resident in the 6300 block of Desert Queen Avenue called to report he was woken up by the sound of a loud pop. When he got up to investigate, he discovered his kitchen window had been shot at and the bullet traveled through a cupboard before lodging in the drywall. A resident in the 7100 block of Barnes Drive reported a burglar had entered his home through a window during the night and stolen electronics and jewelry. The resident of a home in the 73700 block of Siesta Drive reported two burglars took a jack hammer out of his truck parked in his driveway. Residents in a duplex in the 6300 block of Yucca Avenue also reported a burglary from a vehicle. And in the 81300 block of Calle de Muzik Road in Wonder Valley, a neighbor reported that three suspects were trying to steal a car out of a garage. And in Joshua Tree, a resident in the 61700 block of Hilltop Drive reported that thieves had stolen five ceramic frogs, two ceramic turtles, a birdbath, and a dog statue out of her front yard.
