The Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted burglary at a Yucca Valley bank Tuesday. According to a Sheriff’s report, a burglar tried to retrieve night deposit bags from the drop box by using rodent glue trap tied to a string. The bank manager told investigators it appears nothing is missing from the night drop box.
The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a theft of propane tanks from the Yucca Valley Walgreens sometime over the weekend. According to a Sheriff’s report, sometime between 4:40 Friday evening and Monday morning, unknown suspects stole 18 propane tanks, along with the propane cage they were stored in.
A self-storage center in Joshua Tree was burglarized recently, and the Sheriff’s Department is investigating. According to the Sheriff’s Department, a resident who was renting a storage locker went to the mini-storage unit in the 6400 block of Park Boulevard Tuesday afternoon and discovered that not only was the lock to his storage unit cut off, but so were the locks for all the other storage units.
