Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an assault against a man in a wheelchair in Twentynine Palms. About 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to the intersection of Ocotillo Avenue and Cottonwood Drive in Twentynine Palms where a bystander said two males just pushed a man in a wheelchair into a ditch, and then fled. The victim was unconscious, and the wheelchair was on top of him. The victim’s condition was not available. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
