The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of check theft against a Yucca Valley church. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the St. Joseph of Arimathea Church about 12:30 Monday afternoon. The church’s treasurer discovered that an unknown suspect had made multiple unauthorized transactions from the church’s checking account, totaling more than $11,000.
