The Sheriff’s Department has identified the victim who was killed Wednesday night as he was crossing the highway in Yucca Valley. Sheng Tu Lin, 73, was walking home from the family restaurant about 8:23 p.m. and was crossing the highway just west of a crosswalk at Mohawk Trail when he was struck by a westbound Toyota in the number one lane. The driver immediately stopped and called for help. Sheng Tu Lin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
