SHERIFF IDENTIFIES MAN FOUND DEAD IN HIS VEHICLE NEAR JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK FRIDAY

The body of a man discovered dead inside his vehicle near the Cottonwood Springs entrance of Joshua Tree National Park late Friday morning (July 2) has been identified. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s department were called to the location around 11:30 a.m. where the victim, identified as Frank Douglas, 68 of Glendora, was located deceased in his vehicle. The Thermal division of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the investigation, but indicated that foul play is not a factor in the investigation at this time.
