The Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Department assisted in the arrest and capture of a man wanted for sexual assault on a 12-year old Claremont girl last month. Joseph Davall, 34, is suspected of entering the girl’s home in Claremont late on the night of March 20th, and physically and sexually assaulting her while she was home alone. The Claremont police developed leads that Davall was in Yucca Valley, and staked out a home in the 7600 block of Joshua Lane. When Davall left the house at 6:52 Friday morning, Claremont police attempted a traffic stop about a mile away. Davall fled in his vehicle back to the Joshua Lane house, where he was subsequently arrested.
