SHERIFF CORRECTS INFORMATION ON A TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

Due to updated information received from the Sheriff’s Department, Z107.7 has this correction to a story we aired Tuesday (August 17) about a Twentynine Palms woman arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon.

According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies responded to the Bowladium in the 73700 block of Gorgonio Drive at 3:18 p.m. Monday (August 16) for reports that a female suspect, later identified as Vanna Hightower, 33, had brandished a knife and advanced towards a victim while threatening them physical harm. The victim was identified in the report as Dan Mintz, 62, of Twentynine Palms. This was incorrect. The victim was later correctly identified as Tyler Mintz, 24, of Twentynine Palms. Arriving deputies located and detained Hightower at the business. During a search of Hightower, Deputies located the knife used in the reported assault. Vanna Hightower was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $50,000.
