SHERIFF ASKS FOR PUBLIC’S HELP AFTER YUCCA VALLEY ATTEMPTED MURDER

Update 3/6/19 9:30 a.m.:
A San Bernardino man wanted for the attempted murder of a Yucca Valley woman Monday was arrested Wednesday morning after he was spotted by an alert citizen at the Yucca Valley Walmart.
Just before 7 p.m. Monday, neighbors called deputies to the 6400 block of Avalon Avenue in Yucca Valley because a woman and children were screaming. The woman told deputies that Gregory Brazee, 35, broke into her home through her daughter’s window. Brazee walked toward the woman, who was in the bathroom bathing two of her children, and choked her, shoved her against the bathroom wall, and punched her in the face. She told deputies she thought she was going to die because she lost consciousness during the assault. The victim managed to headbutt Brazee, which caused him to let go of her. The woman grabbed her three children and fled. Brazee left when he heard the neighbors call 911. The woman and her children were taken to a domestic violence shelter.
Gregory Brazee was arrested without incident abut 6:40 a.m. Wednesday at Walmart, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $500,000.

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Gregory Brazee, 35, of San Bernardino, who is wanted for attempted murder, and has released a 2018 booking photo of Brazee.
