The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in helping to shut down drug activity in a neighborhood in Yucca Valley.

According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Yost, deputies have been called numerous times to the 6900 block of Tamarisk Avenue, where they have made arrests for drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics, possession of methamphetamine, and operating a drug house.

On Tuesday, Wayne Major, 25, and Randi Muncy, 24, both of Yucca Valley, were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia, respectively.

Yost asked residents to call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175 if they see suspicious or drug-related activity, not just in this neighborhood that is a few blocks from the Boys and Girls Club and Little League fields, but anywhere in the Morongo Basin.
