A shed was destroyed by fire in Joshua Tree Saturday afternoon. County Fire Battalion Chief Scott Tuttle said firefighters from Joshua Tree, Yucca Mesa, and Yucca Valley were called at 3:20 p.m. to the 6000 block of Sunflower. A shed next to a detached garage was fully involved with flames when they arrived. Firefighters made an aggressive effort to keep the blaze from spreading to the garage and had the fire knocked down in 10 minutes. There were no injuries and the cause is still under investigation.
