A sharp-eyed neighbor who saw something and said something stopped an apparent burglary in the Joshua Tree area. According to Sheriff’s records, on Wednesday, June 8 a neighbor in the 69000 block of Sunset reported a truck was at a nearby vacant house where work was being done. He reported a man and woman loading items into a trailer. The lights were out, and they were acting surreptitiously.
Arriving deputies investigated and found the trailer to have been reported stolen. Robert Salcido, 41, was placed under arrest for investigation of possession of stolen property and an active warrant for possession of stolen property. His combined bail was set at $275,000.00.
Jordana Mcelroy, 34, was cited for drug paraphernalia and released. The stolen trailer was returned to its owner.
