A Yucca Valley man was arrested on his warrant after he was recognized by a sharp-eyed deputy Monday afternoon. According to a Sheriff’s report, the deputy noticed Marty Crew, 35, in a silver sedan near Avenida La Flora Desierta and Calle Las Sierras in Joshua Tree about 4:40 p.m. The deputy knew that Crew had a warrant for his arrest for possession of a controlled substance for sale. When Crew realized he had been recognized, he fled on foot, but was soon captured. Marty Crew was arrested on his no-bail warrant and for attempting to evade arrest, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held without bail.
