A Yucca Valley man was arrested earlier this week for failing to register as a sex offender. On Monday (November 22), while on proactive patrol, deputies in Yucca Valley contacted a Hispanic male adult identified as Craig Hopkins, 58. During the investigation, a press release indicates that it was discovered that Hopkins was an active 290 Registrant and was out of compliance with his terms, meaning Hopkins failed to register as a sex offender while living in the Town of Yucca Valley. Craig Hopkins was subsequently arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held in lieu of bail of $25,000.
