While property owners have been billed for the third annual sewer assessment charge, the Measure Z sales tax measure passed by Yucca Valley residents has created a discount. This year, $1.5 million worth of sales tax dollars were applied as a credit to the sewer levy. As a result, parcels such as single-family residences, multi-family residences, and mobile home parks have received approximately a 27% reduction to their levies.
