On June 19 at 6 p.m., the health documentary “The Healing Effect,” will be shown at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Yucca Valley. “The Healing Effect” is a documentary about the healing power of food. Featuring best-selling authors and experts from around the world, the film follows the story of a police officer in the gritty city of Lowell, Massachusetts, who has radically changed his diet and inspired his community. This will be preceded by a light vegetarian meal. As always, the event is free. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is located 8035 Church Street, Yucca Valley.
