SET YOUR CLOCKS ONE HOUR FORWARD WHEN YOU GO TO BED SATURDAY NIGHT

Daylight Savings time kicks in early Sunday morning when we spring the clocks forward an hour. Reporter David Knutson says it is also a great time to change the batteries in the smoke alarms…
Sunday, March 13, is Daylight Saving Time and it’s time to “spring forward” one hour, which means it’s time to change your clocks and your batteries tomorrow night. While electronic devices may change themselves, it’s up to you to keep you and your family safe by changing smoke alarm batteries. Test all smoke alarms in your house to ensure that they work and remember to check smoke alarms monthly. A working smoke alarm can decrease a family’s risk of dying in a house fire by nearly 50 percent. Batteries from household smoke alarms may be recycled at your nearest household hazardous waste recycling facility. For a list of locations, visit sbcfire.org.
