SERVICES SET FOR RICHARD CASEY OF TWENTYNINE PALMS

Richard Alan Casey of Twentynine Palms, died October 20 from an aggressive form of melanoma. He was 53 years old. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dana Casey; children Andrew Casey, and Samantha Casey-Lane and son-in-law Mark Lane, of Las Vegas; parents Andy and Mary Casey of Twentynine Palms; brother Christopher Casey and his family Kate, Jordan, Miranda, Grace, Ellen, and Oliver, of Brunswick Maine; in-laws David and Pat Smith of Twentynine Palms; brother and sister-in-law Mike and Patty Smith and children Kelsey and Billy, of Twentynine Palms, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Casey was an Elder at Little Church of the Desert and loved to play golf. He spent most of his 29 years as a teacher at Twentynine Palms High School teaching algebra, but he found his passion in coaching football. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 9, in the gymnasium at Twentynine Palms High School at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Little Church of the Desert, 6078 Adobe Road, in Twentynine Palms, or the Twentynine Palms High School Athletic Department, 72750 Wildcat Way.
