SERVICES SET FOR MARGOT SPANGENBERG

Margot Spangenberg, a 62-year-resident of Twentynine Palms, died Thursday, January 7. She would have turned 96 years old yesterday. Margot Spangenberg is survived by her daughters, Chris Tiffany of Solvang; Pat Keppner Wlaker of Twentynine Palms; her sons, Mark Spangenberg of Twentynine Palms; Carl Spangenberg of Aliso Viejo; and Guy Spangenberg of Orange; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Margot Spangenberg was a journalist for the Desert Trail and a long-time teacher for the Morongo Unified School District. A rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 14, followed by a service at 11, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Twentynine Palms. Interment will follow the service at Twentynine Palms Cemetery. Margot Spangenberg was a member of Soroptimists International, Joshua Tree National Park Association, and the Twentynine Palms Historical Society. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the above organizations or to Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center.
