Donna Bauman, a 22-year resident of Twentynine Palms, died August 7 of complications of COVID-19. She was 72 years old. Bauman is survived by her son, Thomas Bauman of Corning, New York; two daughters, Janene DeRosia of Rochester, New York, and Eileen Bauman of Twentynine Palms; and her cat Hermana. Donna Bauman retired after eight years aboard the Twentynine Palms Marine Base. She loved reading and had hundreds of books. Donna Bauman enjoyed walking, shopping, and the Z107.7 Morning Show. A private viewing will be held Thursday, August 13, at 2 p.m. at Wiefels and Son in Yucca Valley; interment will be at Joshua Tree Memorial Park with a private graveside service at 10 a.m. Friday August 14.
