SERVICES FRIDAY EVENING FOR CHRISTINE PROUDFOOT

Christine Proudfoot passed away on Monday. Christine first came to Twentynine Palms in 1961. She was married to Max, a retired Marine, for 60 years, has six sons and six grandchildren. A musician and teacher for most of her life, Christine Proudfoot was a very active member of the Friends of Copper Mountain College, the College Foundation, the Twentynine Palms Art Gallery and the establishment of the Old Schoolhouse Museum. A long-time organist, choir and bell director in Twentynine Palms, her love for music and family dominated her life. A viewing will be held at Wiefels in Twentynine Palms tomorrow evening from 5:30 to 8:30. A memorial service will be at Little Church of the Desert in Twentynine Palms on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Donations to the Copper Mountain College Foundation in lieu of flowers would be appreciated through the CMC Foundation website at cmccd.edu.
