The Basin Wide Foundation has the names of 161 children who are in Child Protective Services who need a Secret Santa for Christmas. Managing editor Tami Roleff explains how you can help…

There are 161 children who will be spending Christmas in foster homes. If you would like to help make their Christmas a little merrier, you can be a Secret Santa for one or more children. Contact Sandy Smith with the number of children you’d like to adopt, along with their age and sex preference. Gifts should be in the range of $40 to $45. Drop off your unwrapped gifts by December 13 at Pacific Western Bank or Hi-Desert Publishing in Yucca Valley, or bring to the December 10 meeting of the Basin Wide Foundation. Contact Smith if you want to drop off the gifts in Twentynine Palms.

Email, text or call Sandy Smith at 760-362-3642 or [email protected] with the number of children you would like to adopt and if you have any age or sex preference. We ask that gifts are not wrapped and range from $40-45.

Please mark gifts with the color group and name of your child.

Drop off points are Pacific Western Bank & Hi-Desert Publishing in Yucca Valley. You may also bring your gifts to December’s Basin Wide Foundation luncheon on December 10. Arrangements can be made for Twentynine Palms drop-offs by contacting Sandy Smith.
