A second market was burglarized in Landers in less than a week. At 6 a.m. Thursday, deputies were called to the Hero Market on Old Woman Springs Road after the owner was notified that the burglar alarm had been activated. Like the Mojave Liquor store, which had been burglarized over the weekend, the burglar cut a hole through the wall to enter the store. A Sheriff’s report notes that the burglar was scared off by the alarm before anything could be stolen from the store. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
