SEASON OPENER WIN FOR 29 PALMS HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Yesterday, the Twentynine Palms High School Lady Wildcats volleyball team traveled to Indio and beat the Rajahs 25-21, 25-13, and 25-20. Coach Missy Bond said the LadyCats were led by senior Tatiyanna Mackall, who had six kills, two solo blocks, and three ace serves. Junior Lindsey Scamman four kills, five solo blocks and one ace serve. Junior Sheryl Jensen had two kills and junior Hope Culver had two ace serves, while senior Makya Bullion one kill and two ace serves. Sophomore Gabby Mackall had one kill, one ace serve, and 12 assists. The LadyCats are 1-0 and play Cathedral City at home Thursday.

The Twentynine Palms Ladycats varsity tennis team traveled to Indio on Tuesday to take on the Rajahs of Indio High School. The LadyCats came away with the win, 11 to 7. In singles action, the LadyCats were led by Lexi Wade, who swept all three of her sets. In doubles action, the LadyCats were led by Kyla Limon and Shadia Sanchez, sweeping all three of their sets and Sherolyn Alconaba and Danny Morrissey sweeping all three of their sets. The team will travel to Shadow Hills High School in Indio on Thursday.
