Thought Theatre is seeking actors, backstage technicians and front of house volunteers at their upcoming 2019-2020 season auditions. Reporter Rebecca Havely has the season line up and the audition details…
Director Miri Hunter will cast the Tennessee Williams classic, “A Streetcar Named Desire”; an original piece called “Confessions of Mary” by local playwright Kurt Schauppner; “The Traveling Symphony,” which is part of the Big Read project; and the “Play by Playwrights” series that has several roles. Women and men of all ages and ethnicities are encouraged to audition on Wednesday, September 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at ARTTRAP in Joshua Tree. Come with a prepared comic or dramatic monologue. Call backs will be the same night and sides will be provided. Actors unable to attend auditions may email a headshot and resume to [email protected].
Technicians interested in volunteering with lighting design, set building, stage management or front of house assistance are welcome to attend auditions or may send a resume and contact info to [email protected].
