As you can imagine, it can be costly to volunteer to help save lives. To help offset costs, the Morongo Basin Search and Rescue team is holding an off-road event at Means Dry Lake at Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Park. The fund raiser will be held the weekend of October 3 through October 5, with the actual run taking place Saturday morning. Activities include vehicle teeter-totter, various kids’ games, vendors, and much more. Hot food will also be available! Tickets for the Desert Run are $60 at the event.
