SCOTT MCKONE APPOINTED TO HI-DESERT WATER BOARD

The Hi-Desert Water District Board of directors unanimously appointed Scot McKone to temporarily fill the seat left vacant by Sarann Graham. Graham resigned earlier this summer after residents protested what they said were racists posts made by her on social media. McKone’s temporary appointment is through December. McKone ran unopposed for Graham’s seat; since there won’t be an election for his seat in November, he will be appointed again to the board in January.
