A highlight from the Morongo Unified School District board meeting Tuesday night was the donation of thousands of dollars in equipment to the school district from the county-run Regional Occupation Programs. The county donated all the equipment used in the dental, culinary arts, computer programming, sports medicine, and broadcasting ROP classes to the district. In addition, the school district used a grant from the county to start a criminal forensics program as well as an early childhood education lab.
In addition, nine students were recognized in honor of National Disabilities Awareness Month.
